The Herbalist starring Snoop Dogg is playable for free as part of the Free Demo for new players and as an Elusive Target in HITMAN World of Assassination

Copenhagen, Denmark – September 22^nd, 2026 - IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise and the recently released 007 First Light, has shared an update on player progress regarding its latest Elusive Target, The Herbalist, starring multi-platinum-selling, GRAMMY-nominated recording artist Snoop Dogg. This high-stakes mission is available for free in-game and via the Free Demo until September 27, 2026, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®VR2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PC VR, Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch™2, iPhone, iPad, and the Apple silicon Mac lineup via the Mac App Store and Steam.

The latest Elusive Target mission featuring Snoop Dogg sees players leveraging their tactical acumen with varied approaches. Player methods have proven diverse: 24% of agents turned to poison, neutralizing Dr. Cyrus Cane with chemical precision. A close second, 20% of players opted for the subtler route, staging accidental deaths to leave no trace of foul play, with Agent 47 able to escape without any trouble. Meanwhile, a smaller sample of 6% relied on ballistics, taking Cane down with clean, direct eliminations. The mission revisits Haven Island in a fresh context with a new target, built around the character of Dr. Cyrus Cane, an eccentric edibles entrepreneur, with brand-new dialogues and gameplay elements. Snoop Doggs's son, Cordell C. Broadus, also appears in the mission, lending his own likeness and voiceover work as a guest at Cane's mansion party, marking a joint appearance for the father-son duo. With more than one million active players engaging with HITMAN content every month, community feedback remains integral to how IO Interactive evolves the game. Players have also been granted one extra day to complete their mission, with the Elusive Target set to leave on September 27^th.
