UNRAVEL A MYSTERY THROUGH TIME ON NINTENDO SWITCH & NINTENDO SWITCH 2 IN DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER
A new free update also adds content across all platforms
Lyon, France – 10 July 2026 – Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe today announced the launch of DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER on Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch™ 2. Developed by Media.Vision Inc., this critically acclaimed JRPG takes players on an epic journey across two interconnected realms—the Human World and the Digital World—bound together by fate.
In DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER, players must tame, train and forge deep bonds with their Digimon companions to prevent the imminent collapse of both worlds. As time itself begins to unravel, they will journey through time to uncover the truth behind a mysterious threat that endangers reality as they know it.
With both worlds on the brink of destruction, players will explore diverse environments, encounter a memorable cast of characters and recruit powerful Digimon allies. The game introduces new features that expand on the beloved Digimon Story formula while staying true to the franchise’s core elements.
At the heart of the experience, collecting and bonding with Digimon remains key, with more than 450 Digimon available to discover, recruit, train and Digivolve. Extensive Digivolution paths and customization options allow players to shape their own strategies, particularly during the game’s engaging turn-based battles against formidable enemies and massive bosses.
Alongside its release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, a free update is now available across all platforms. Players can take advantage of a new Graphics Mode option (available on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X and Nintendo Switch 2), allowing them to prioritise either visual quality or performance, with frame rates reaching up to 60 FPS. The update also introduces a Photo Mode for field exploration, as well as Terrimon Assistant as a new playable character. In addition, Digifarm users can now view Digivolution Conditions directly within the menu, making Digimon management more streamlined and accessible.
DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER is now available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is also available on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S and PC.
