October 6 - Star Wars: Galactic Racer™ has launched onto Amazon Luna alongside the game’s worldwide release, delivering high-stakes racing across iconic Star Wars™ planets.
Developed by Fuse Games, a studio founded by racing veterans whose individual credits include the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises, Star Wars: Galactic Racer puts you behind the controls of a range of repulsorcraft and into the underground, unsanctioned racing circuit of a galaxy far, far away.
Best of all, if you're a Prime member, you can jump into the action on Amazon Luna on the same day as all other platforms and play the single-player campaign.
"We've always believed Luna players deserve to be in the action from day one, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer makes that a reality for the first time,” said Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon. “Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download. And the best part: if they're a Prime member, they already have it at no additional cost. It's exactly the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna, and we think players are going to love it."
Race Across the Galaxy
Set early during the era of the New Republic, Star Wars: Galactic Racer introduces the Galactic League - a high-stakes underground racing circuit where rival racers, unsanctioned courses, and powerful syndicates collide. As the galaxy rebuilds from the fall of the Empire, a lifelong fan and true believer in the sport of racing, Darius Pax has assembled an underground racing league with the hope of creating a new golden age of galaxy-wide racing for the masses.
Players take on the role of Shade, a lone racer with a dream of glory and revenge in this runs-based racing adventure. Every race presents choices that can shape the journey, from selecting your route and events to choosing upgrades and building a racing setup that matches your playstyle. Survive long enough, and you’ll have the chance to earn your place among the galaxy's elite racing pilots.
Choose Your Ride and Master Your Line
Speed is only part of the challenge. Star Wars: Galactic Racer features multiple classes of repulsorcraft, each with distinct handling that can change the way you approach each track.
Race landspeeders built for aggressive takedowns and smooth cornering. Push speeder bikes to their limits with hard braking and explosive acceleration. Master the brand-new skim speeder, designed to reward momentum, flowing racing lines, and precision as you knife edge through narrow gaps. Or show off your piloting skills and blaze through tracks in the iconic podracer.
But remember, these aren’t just races against the clock. You can compete on the same course, creating unpredictable encounters as different racing styles and racing lines collide. Podracers can only be raced against each other since their breakneck speed means they’re in a league of their own.
A Galaxy of Racetracks
The Galactic League takes racers across a collection of familiar as well as brand-new Star Wars environments.
Race through the wreckage of the Empire on Jakku, weaving between downed Star Destroyers and AT-ATs in the iconic Graveyard of Giants. Speed across the frozen landscapes of Ando Prime, where maintaining momentum is critical. Navigate the dangerous terrain of Sentinel I, where toxic fumes and rivers of acid can interfere with your engine, and even discover more locations as you progress.
For Star Wars fans, there are also familiar faces waiting to race against you. Fan-favorite Dug racer Sebulba, first introduced in Episode I The Phantom Menace, returns to the circuit alongside an array of new characters and rivals.
Play the Solo Campaign
Whether you’re looking to follow Shade’s journey or simply settle the question of who is the fastest racer in the galaxy, Star Wars: Galactic Racer offers plenty of ways to compete.
Build your racer through the campaign, experiment with different vehicles and upgrades, and work toward becoming a Galactic League champion. Every run and every challenge is a chance to push your ride - and yourself - to the limit.
Play Arcade and Scenarios
Alongside the singleplayer campaign, you’ll be able to test yourself in two additional gameplay modes: Arcade and Scenarios. Arcade events are short and focused, having you race against the clock or complete a particular objective on a specific track with a specific vehicle. Scenarios are longer-form events that offer unique challenges, as you take-on full runs with different rule sets and characters.
Play today on Amazon Luna
Beginning today, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is available to play on Amazon Luna for Prime members in eligible regions. Just fire up Luna and get ready to race!

Get ready to shred! Space Metal Mania is bringing heavy metal music, arcade shoot-’em-up action, and couch co-op chaos together in one explosive (and exclusive) new GameNight game on Amazon Luna.
In Space Metal Mania, you’ll pilot your ship through hordes of aliens, dodge walls of bullets, take down massive bosses, and fight to reclaim occupied territories. All the while legendary heavy metal tracks, and Megadeath’s Dave Mustaine, provide the soundtrack to the action. Outfitted with just your phone and a TV, you can play solo or team up with friends for up to four-player co-op mayhem.
But be prepared, Space Metal Mania isn’t simply a space shooter with a great soundtrack. The music is woven directly into the gameplay, creating a rhythm-driven experience where enemy waves, attacks, and boss encounters are designed around the songs themselves.
A Heavy Metal Arcade
At its core, Space Metal Mania is a fast-paced, top-down space shoot-’em-up inspired by the classic arcade experience, with rogue-lite gameplay elements layered on top
You’ll fly through increasingly challenging encounters, blasting swarms of enemies while collecting credits to improve your ship. Along the way, power-ups, weapons, and defensive devices each customize your approach to combat
Players can also choose between three difficulty levels and various routes through the game, including Combat encounters, Elite fights, and Planet Liberation missions
Bring the Whole Band
Space Metal Mania is built to be shared. You can play alone or bring 1-3 teammates along for the ride, turning the game’s massive enemy waves and screen-filling bosses into a cooperative battle for survival.
For the developers, that team experience was a fun multiplier for the game. “It’s pure couch co-op chaos with your friends, not to mention you can turn your ship into a powerhouse and crush massive bosses to a killer soundtrack.” said Jan Pytlik, Head of Production for THQ Nordic Mobile GmbH.
Music Drives the Action
One of the biggest challenges, and rewards, in developing the game was figuring out how to make the music an integral part of the gameplay rather than simply something playing in the background.
“We designed the enemy waves and boss patterns around the verses, breakdowns, and solos of the songs,” offered Pytlik. “The tracks basically dictate the pacing.”
Game combat feeds into the music, with attacks and encounters synced to the beat. Dodge a wall of lasers as a song kicks into high gear, or take down a boss during a guitar solo, and the result is feeling like you’re playing along with the music.
The soundtrack is of course no small part of the experience. Space Metal Mania features licensed tracks from 80s and 90s legends Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Mastodon, Avenged Sevenfold, and Pantera, among others.
Straight Off the Album Cover
The game’s visual style is designed to complement its musical identity, drawing inspiration from classic 1980s sci-fi and metal album art.
“Neon, cosmic fire, burning planets and giant mega structures shape the whole game,” says Pytlik.
The result is a galaxy filled with larger-than-life environments, massive enemies, and plenty of metal-inspired visual flourishes.
Meet Your Commander: Dave Mustaine
Guiding players through the game is none other than Dave Mustaine, legendary front man of Megadeth. Mustaine provides the voice of Space Metal Mania’s Commander, delivering lots of dialogue and in-game callouts.
For the development team (metal heads themselves), Mustaine stepping into the recording booth was an experience they won’t soon forget. “Having a literal metal hero jump in the booth and bring that classic, gritty swagger to the character was surreal and insanely cool for our team,” says Pytlik.
Mustaine gives the game another authentic connection to the music at the heart of the Space Metal Mania experience and makes a mission to reclaim the galaxy feel just a little more metal.
