A tale woven in the forsaken world awaits in CODE VEIN II Mask of Idris DLC, launching 9 September

 

The expansion to the epic action RPG, CODE VEIN II Mask of Idris, will launch on 9 September 2026.  

 

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, CODE VEIN II takes players on an epic journey where they wield time as a weapon, traverse through past and present versions of an explorable world and uncover a dramatic battle to save humanity. The Mask of Idris expansion features exploration set in the Forsaken World, a setting forged from the converged passions of worlds that vanished due to historical alterations.

 

At the core of this alternate world, a colossal, swirling spindle of these passions continuously draws in emotions from all times and spaces and now threatens to impact the real world. As this new battle unfolds, players will cross paths with Liv Voda, the alluring guardian of time and space who possesses a combative personality. The Mask of Idris expansion serves as post-game content, requiring players to have reached the “Luna Fraterna” ending of the main narrative of CODE VEIN II as well as completing the sub-mission “Valentin’s request” to begin the new campaign.

Bandai Namco will release Free Update Version 2.0 simultaneously with the expansion, implementing various updates including additional content that will allow players to explore the post-main game world with their partners. More details about the free update and new content to come will be released at a later time.

 

CODE VEIN II features distinctive gameplay for an action RPG, where players use blood drained from enemies to unlock a variety of powerful skills, build strategy for combat with Blood codes, and use unique weapons and equipment called Jails to overcome challenging foes and epic bosses. The sequel also introduces the brand-new Partner System, which lets players seamlessly switch between two forms of combat, further elevating player combat into a dynamic action experience. Deep customization system returns for the game’s protagonist, Revenant Hunter, where players can customize their characters to perfection with a vast array of settings for body type, hairstyle, facial expressions, accessories, makeup and more. Players can also visit key locations in game called the hot springs to view their character in different lighting environments and use Photo Mode to capture and save their creations.

 

CODE VEIN II is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Traverse the Perilous “Forsaken World” in MASK OF IDRIS DLC

Lyon, France – 1 July, 2026 – Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe today announced the expansion to the epic action RPG, CODE VEIN II. Titled Mask of Idris, the new content is set in the Forsaken World and features a history-altering story where players will again transcend time and space, explore new areas and face memorable new challenges. The expansion will be available for individual purchase and included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition. CODE VEIN II is available now on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam®.
