Discover the main mechanics of DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3

Get a deeper look at the core mechanics of DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 in a brand-new trailer following a mission undertaken by a rookie member of the Great Saiya Squad. Showcasing the game's key combat systems, the video highlights the concept of "connection", the central theme woven throughout the entire gameplay experience.

Thanks to this mechanic, players can forge powerful bonds with the legendary heroes who once protected Earth and shape their own unique fighter. By equipping iconic attacks, skills, and fighting styles, they can customise their character to reflect their favorite DRAGON BALL heroes. Players can even call upon these warriors—or their souls—to provide direct support in battle, creating a deeper and more personal connection to the DRAGON BALL universe.

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 lets players team up in squads of up to four and take on a variety of missions, from intense one-on-one battles to large-scale fights against multiple opponents. During the mission showcased in the trailer, viewers are introduced to the depth of the combat system and the strategic use of skills and special attacks. Players can exploit openings by depleting an opponent's Ki, creating opportunities to unleash devastating Critical Strikes.

Expanding their arsenal even further, they can activate Soul Assist, calling upon someone who protected Earth before and unleash one of their signature techniques in support. The ultimate expression of this bond comes through Soul Change, a powerful ability that allows players to temporarily incarnate a legendary DRAGON BALL hero and harness their strength firsthand. Alternatively, players can awaken their own potential through Awakening, unlocking race-specific transformations such as the iconic Super Saiyan form.

10 years after the last entry in the series, DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 marks a bold new chapter for the franchise. The latest trailer offers a first look at both gameplay and daily life in a brand-new setting, AGE 1000.

Building on the legacy of the series, DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 delivers an entirely new DRAGON BALL experience. Players are invited to create and embody the hero they aspire to be in an unexplored world envisioned by the original creator, Akira Toriyama. Blending an epic, story-driven RPG with high-octane action, the game promises an unforgettable journey through a vibrant new universe and its diverse cast of characters. In DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, players will explore and uncover exciting new stories in West City, the vibrant new world set in AGE 1000. The trailer introduces Bulma and Gamma 1, who welcomes players into the ranks of the Great Saiya Squad while offering a glimpse into life at West City University. Alongside these beloved DRAGON BALL characters, players will meet a cast of original characters making their debut, including Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap.

Combat in DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 expands the series’ high-speed action with new ways to fight and harness the power of legendary warriors who protected earth before you. Players can soar through West City, boosting across the battlefield and unleashing powerful ki attacks against enemies. Player choices will have a greater impact on fights in DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3. Depending on the race players choose, different options will be available to turn the tide in their favor. While Saiyan can use the power of the Super Saiyan in its multiple forms, providing them with ever evolving strength, Earthlings offer a completely different playstyle. The new Soul Assist system allows them to unleash a powerful attack alongside a powerful ally from the DRAGON BALL universe. In addition, the Soul Switch mechanic allows players to temporarily harness the power of a DRAGON BALL character's soul, such as Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks and Tien, to become even stronger and gain new abilities during combat.
