Tripwire Interactive Deploys Surprise Quality of Life Update and Deep Discount for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam on PC

Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive today announced the release of a new quality-of-life (QoL) focused update for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, the asymmetrical, tactical FPS released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2017 and supported with years of free content updates post-launch. Patch 1.7.0, now available to download for free, implements a variety of VOIP fixes for server connectivity, squashes bugs preventing mic muting in some instances and adds the ability to choose the audio input device from the in-engine menu. The patch also addresses an exploit that had allowed players to gain infinite ammo scenarios. For a detailed list of fixes and changes, read the official patch notes.

To celebrate the new QoL update, the game is currently available to purchase through Steam for a 90% discount off the regular price of $24.99 for the Standard Edition and $29.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition through July 26. All available DLC is also on sale during that time to varying depths of discount. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam will ambush various upcoming summer sales with similar discounts.
