PressEngine has unveiled The Pre-Show #1, an exclusive in-person games showcase launching in London on Thursday, November 26 2026. Designed specifically to counter the fatigue of passive digital streams, the event seeks to restore direct, high-impact, one-on-one relationships between game developers, publishers, agencies and medua and content creators.
Taking place in a venue where every game is visible by design, more than 150 vetted media professionals and online creators are expected to attend. The focus is strictly on upcoming titles slated for release over the following 12 months, granting attendees hands-on time side-by-side with the teams building them.
The Pre-Show aims to tackle an issue facing the games industry: while digital showcases opened up global reach, they often stripped away the spontaneous rapport and meaningful access that drive genuine coverage.
“Our industry has become too reliant on digital broadcasts and remote previews, which ultimately reduce authentic engagement for both creators and journalists,” said Gareth Williams, Co-Founder at PressEngine. “Digital streams cannot replace the spark of sitting side-by-side with a developer, playing a build, and building rapport and relationships. The Pre-Show is built specifically around relationship-building and discovery, with every game given equal exposure.”
Exhibitors benefit from a turnkey, plug-and-play setup to maximise time with attendees with a low cost, high-return ethos: ‘Just bring the game.’
Registration is now open for media and content creators looking to attend, with developer spaces limited to ensure attendees and studios retain dedicated, equal access throughout the day: https://pressengine.link/preshow-registration
