IO Interactive announces its partnership with Saber Interactive to bring the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered Trilogy to modern consoles and PC, Feral Interactive bringing Hitman: Absolution to Nintendo Switch 2

The announcements also include the Hitman WOA Vinyl collection pre-orders and digital soundtrack, the successful founded Hitman: The Board Game campaign in collaboration with MOOD Publishing, and more.

Los Angeles, California – June 5^th, 2026 - IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise and the recently released 007 First Light, today announced a major slate of updates and partnerships for the HITMAN franchise, including a new Elusive Target for HITMAN World of Assassination portrayed by multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY and Golden Globe nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa, the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered in partnership with Saber Interactive, expanded platform support for Hitman: Absolution, a vinyl collection with Laced Records, and the successful funding of Hitman: The Board Game.

New Elusive Target, The Wizard – Available Now

IO Interactive has launched a new Elusive Target mission in HITMAN World of Assassination starring Rap Superstar and Muay Thai advocate Wiz Khalifa. In "The Wizard," Agent 47 must eliminate Taylor Graves, a former boxer turned Muay Thai fighter nicknamed for his alchemic success in fighting and finance. The mission is available from June 5 to July 5, 2026, for free in game and via the Free Demo, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, PlayStation VR2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PC VR, Nintendo Switch™*, Nintendo Switch™2*, iPhone, iPad, and the Apple silicon Mac lineup via the Mac App Store and Steam. 

Season of the Wizard – Live Updates, Free for HITMAN WOA Players  

A brand-new roadmap will also begin today, bringing both added and returning content for players to enjoy. With three new challenges, two new Featured Contracts, three new Twitch Drops, returning Elusive Targets, IOI Account Rewards, Crossover Rewards, and the return of the Drop Elusive Target ft. Saber Interactive is working on Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered

Saber Interactive, in partnership with IOI, is working on bringing the origin of Agent 47’s legacy to modern consoles.

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is planned to launch in 2027 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This new collection will feature faithfully remastered versions of the original iconic stealth trilogy, Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts, with enhanced visuals, an instant graphics toggle, Photo Mode, and more!

Discover the origins of the world’s deadliest assassin with the trilogy that defined the Hitman series, remastered for modern platforms while preserving the systems, tone, and player-driven freedom that made the franchise iconic. Feral Interactive bringing new content to Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch; Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack to follow

Contracts mode for Hitman: Absolution is coming to Nintendo Switch very soon via a free update. At the same time, a native Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack is also coming soon to Hitman: Absolution later this summer.

This follows the successful launch of Contracts mode on iOS & Android. Feral’s mobile release of Hitman: Absolution puts players in command, with customisable touchscreen controls, gamepad, and keyboard & mouse support. Further quality-of-life improvements such as optional, enhanced auto-aim, a dynamic UI designed for mobile, and graphics presets tailored to each device, fully optimising Hitman: Absolution for play on the go.

 

HITMAN World of Assassination vinyl pre-orders are open now, and the digital soundtrack is live on streaming platforms

IO Interactive and Laced Records have unlocked the HITMAN music vault to bring Niels Bye Nielsen’s World of Assassination trilogy of scores to a beautifully designed vinyl record.

This vinyl set includes a carefully curated selection of tracks from across HITMAN (2016), HITMAN 2, and HITMAN III, as well as bonus tracks from Freelancer and Sniper Challenge modes. As Agent 47 makes his way across the globe, from Paris to Hokkaido, so Niels Bye Nielsen’s music follows. It ranges from EDM and German techno to Argentinian tango; from solo piano sonatas to South American guitar; and freely blends orchestral, rock, and synth elements. Specially mastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness, this collection captures the cinematic tension and atmosphere at the heart of HITMAN World of Assassination.

Hitman: The Board Game campaign from MOOD Publishing has been fully founded

MOOD Publishing has successfully closed the founding campaign, pulling in more than 860% of its original funding target. The franchise’s first-ever board game, bringing Agent 47 to players in tabletop format is a 1-4 player competitive board game where success depends on improvisation, creativity, and surgical precision. Players control their own master assassin, travel the world, infiltrate exotic locations, and eliminate high-profile targets. The Wizard - Available for free starting June 5^th  

In the new Elusive Target mission, revealed during Summer Games Fest, Agent 47 is tasked with the elimination of Taylor Graves, nicknamed "The Wizard" for his seemingly alchemic touch. Everything he pursued, fighting or finance, turned to gold. Originally a star boxer, he became fascinated by eastern philosophy, which led to being introduced to the world of Muay Thai. With his buried rage, the brutality of the sport enticed him, and he proved himself a worthy fighter. He has been invited to attend a duel at the Ark Society's headquarters on the Isle of Sgail. His opponent is fellow Ark Society member Tim Quinn, CEO of Quantum Leap. Agent 47 mission is to do everything in his power to keep Quinn safe and stop Graves from "winning the fight".

The mission revisits a familiar location and setting, built around a completely new character, and new dialogues and elements. In the past months, the HITMAN community has shown strong interest in the gameplay experience on Isle of Sgàil, this new Elusive Target represents an opportunity to reintroduce that mission in a fresh way. With more than one million active players engaging with HITMAN content every month, community feedback remains an important part of how we evolve the game, and IO Interactive is looking forward to players stepping back into the ring.
